Before the stage, there was the studio booth. Since 2011, as RJ Shani on Pakistan's leading station Mast FM103, Shahaan Shaukat mastered the intimacy of a voice travelling through the dark — a computer scientist by degree, a self-declared “best bathroom singer” by destiny. Now based in Australia, he carries that same intimacy into his music: Urdu melodies with a rock soul, songs that feel like conversations you never wanted to end.

The first original composition is recorded. He holds it back — the perfectionist in him isn't satisfied yet.

Takhleeq Studio & The Leap
Guzarish is recorded in Lahore. The same year, Shahaan packs his life into suitcases and moves to Australia.
The Debut
December — First Release
The Abrar-ul-Haq cover becomes his first official release with a music video — and the world finally hears the voice from the radio sing. Guzarish and Tere Nain follow, each crossing 100K views.
